To honest this Friday England cricket team are playing at the riverside in Chester le Street. I for one would prefer if it was played somewhere else because the traffic problems are horrendous I don't fell like a second class citizen just because sport is played at the national stadium and not a local one

Imagine the stink which would be kicked up if in future all in-ger-land games were to be played at the stadium of light or st james park !
Nah, it would never happen, we northerners should be happy with our status as second class citizens in this country and smile about it |

I recorded the game on my Sky+ box last night, but haven't watched it yet, so don't know if the service was interrupted. We did have some pretty heavy stuff after 8pm though, so expect it will pixelate at some point. It was actually the wettest day I've recorded in September since 2000, with all of it falling under cover of darkness. An unusual day.

With satellite TV being one of the up and coming digital platforms, when are they going to invent a system that doesn't go off as soon as it bloody rains?

The way those tossers played in the world cup I would not pay to goto Chester Park to watch them. So not really bothered

My slip for tonight:
* Straight home win for Bulgaria against Montenegro (odds 1.50) Wrong 0-1 * Home win for Denmark against Iceland by exactly two goals (odds 3.70) Wrong 1-0 * Home win for Holland against Finland by two clear goals or more (odds 1.30) Wrong 2-1 * Straight win for England away at Switzerland (odds 1.70) Correct 1-3 * and a home win for Scotland against Liechtenstein by two clear goals or more (odds 1.25) Wrong 2-1 All five games being played tonight. Combined odds are 15.33 times the tenner back. [1]

supporting the national team at our "home" of football Wembley is now a luxury pursuit for Southerner-based fans.
