Garden is ruined, as Cheryl says, why do we bother?  Bloomin weather

Terrible I know, but show a bit of British guts.   Very Happy

When we were in Australia early this year people lost their entire possessions in the fires that swept the areas.  What was the reaction?  "I'm alive and I'll strart again"  It was hearbraking to see them, but what spirit they had.

Imagine walking out of your house now and all that you will have is the clothes that you are wearing.  Nothing from the past.

Just driven over Lumley Bridge next to the DCC site. The river is over its banks there and at the play park area.

It took a bride one hour to get from Belmont to St. Godricks church yesterday. She had to do a grand detour but did make it.
Some of the guests were staying at the hotel on the riverside and had real trouble getting out but they all made it in the end and the sun did shine as she went into the church.

Yesterday afternoon I had to water one of my baskets because it was dry. This is out in the open, not sheltered at all.
I did get a couple of funny looks from people passing by wearing wellies because they were taking their dogs over the fields.
