Hi, just wondering if anyone knows if the binmen will take some extra bags of rubbish away this week? Got about 6 bags but a can't see any rules on the council's website. Can anyone help?

They don`t take extra sacks away.
Look round your neighbours for room in theirs.
Our bins are normal days as well. Thank goodness my daughter informed me.
She got caught out so she`s bringing some stuff up today to put in mine for tomorrows collection so sorry Mike no room in mine,

We got a note round to say bin collections would be one day later this week.  Our bin day is Wednesday - the binmen turned up as usual today, a quiet day for them as not one bin out in the whole area - but tonight lots of people are putting them out anticipating the collection tomorrow we were originally told about.

The note said one day later, the website says no change - very confusing.....

Looks like i am going to have to reduce my rubbish collection down gradually over the next few weeks then. Typical, i am in the highest council tax band and my estate hasn't been gritted, the grit bins have been removed and now no-one will take my rubbish away!

Durham County website very unclear for Spennymoor and surrounding areas

We are  Thursday collection,  so we normally miss out   anyway      bad waether, breakdowns,  bank holidays,

I thought this year we would be OK as the recycle guys came,  sadly  bin men never followed

Was expecting to be up to my neck in rubbish for three weeks

and was contemplating to buy a steel dustbin fire and create my own  hole in the the atmosphere

anyway,  heard the truck today ? and got lucky  and now have an empty bin

Wasnt the usual crew just one driver and one young lad at the back ?  (wonder if someone complained ?)

Suppose everybody leaving the bins out from Xmas eve.....  didnt  look well on the estate

Maybe it was Santa whom complained to DCC  clap
