Got a glossy through the door last week from the FAIR party.

They moaned about the fact that FTC had done nothing drastic about the result of the Parish Poll. We all understood the result wasn't binding. They were told that. Why would they think anything would happen? The passage of text on the left hand side of the page sounded as if it could easily have been lifted from a BNP newsletter, such was it's jingoistic style.

They made the point about money being paid to FTC in Council Tax being freed up to give people money to spend in local shops instead, supporting local jobs and businesses, but then on closer inspection I see that the leaflet was actually printed in Tyne & Wear! What was wrong with Blamires if they're so concerned with local jobs? Do as we say, not as we do?

The leaflet is littered with grammatical and spelling mistakes. e.g. Dean Road spelt as Dene Road. Surely a bit of proof reading would have been in order before it was sent to the printers, but maybe they didn't have anyone skilled in that department.  Wink

It was also noticed that the contact details for the FAIR party were at Tommy Garrett's home address, but had Dave Farry's email account details on. Have Tommy and Dave moved in together? Is there something we should know?  Laughing

Altogether, the leaflet didn't really say anything much. It had no wild accusations and misleading figures like some of the previous efforts. Could it be that the FAIR party are on the wane after their Parish Poll bubble burst? We shall see.

Oh bugger ........... looks like someone had fun finding all the errors in it.

I must admit I did not have time to spot the errors ........................ the time scale between picking this leaflet up of the door mat and placing it in the waste bin (sorry recycling bag) was around 5 seconds. Rolling Eyes

Council Tax notices have come out and not a peep. Seems like they have run out of steam.
