"Third in a week - Express Sleeper Crashes".

Ferryhill Station, County Durham.

London to Newcastle express sleeper crashes into derailed wagons. Various shots of wrecked train, rescuers are still pulling more survivors out. M/S of police carrying victim from wreckage on stretcher. Various shots of cranes hauling smashed coach suspended off line.

Amongst the survivors of the crash was Home Secretary, James Chuter Ede. He is not shown in story.
