I have gardens out the front too. They are actually allotments, but the ones adjacent the houses are maintained as gardens. In my opinion, the road could quite easily be widened by taking a foot or two off the gardens, then people could park their cars on the road, not on the pavement. The road also suffers by being narrow with no passing spaces, and two cars can meet head-on and someone has to reverse. Usually, this is the car coming down the hill, so it has to reverse back up, with only a foot or two clearance all the way up (for 200yds) being 'pushed' by the car coming up the hill, the driver of which thinks it funny to be right in your face.

Never seen white doggy doo for quite some time

Think it was the chalk / calcuim they used to put in food ?   not in any more

I was talking about this subject the other day to mother in law , and I hardly ever see dog turds on pavements

I realised why !!

I never bloody walk anywhere

From my doorstep to the van  and thats it ...  and if I am lucky ...   van to doorstep ( never see it on Petrol station forecourts )

The worst place for dog s*** is down Dean Road where the old Post Office was. If you go down the cut to the fields it is covered in s*** down the new path, right next to the dog s*** bin as well!

It's a mess all the way along the south side of Dean Road. Warden patrols clearly need to be stepped up here. I never see any stray dogs along here, so the conclusion is that owners just let them do it.

An interesting thread considering the strange events in the front garden of my house in Dean Bank at sometime Friday night/Saturday morning. We left the house on Saturday morning to be confronted by a deposit on top of our party wall. The admiration of the necessary skills of the "dog" to balance on the party wall whilst performing this act, was overshadowed by the fact that it had left the tissue with which it had wiped its a##e , a short distance from the deed. Whilst I have the utmost respect for the dexterity displayed by this "dog" I feel that it's parents could have gone a little further, and taught it how to bag and bin it. Please note, this is not a joke, but a sad indictment on a small, but seemingly ever increasing, portion of society inhabiting this area of town. Eat your heart out Jeremy Kyle.

In a not very scientific survey, I counted 20 little piles on the South side of Dean Road on my walk this morning.  Sad

I wish I was old enough to sit in a  toyota corrolla at a roadside to participate in a detailed thorough survey to monitor   cars and doogy doo too

Noticed you reposted on this topic on feb 5th, after the snow went.

Outside my house had dog plop all over after the snow went. I think owners were too bothered about it as it kept snowing, then covering their dogs carp. and so it went on until the snow went and all of a sudden, shi tee shoes all round.

Its got better now though

You might be right there, considering the pavements were covered in the white stuff for more than a month. It's alreet in the day when you can see where it is. I still think i'll see if I can push my idea of putting luminous dye in dog food so the turds glow in the dark.
