Hi, this is a really long shot I know, but I am desperately trying to locate my long lost half-sister by the name of Krystle Langers (correct spelling). She is unaware of my existence as we were seperated at a very young age. My parents originate from the Cork area in Ireland, or at least my Dad does (where there's a fairly large number of Langers) and he was active in the shipbuilding industry in both the North East and in Glasgow (where I was raised). She is 23 years old (the only birth records I can access list her as being born in 1985). Her mother (and my father) split up when I was seven and they haven't ever spoken to or contacted each other since.

She was listed by 192.com and a few other web sites as living at two addresses 101 OAKWOOD Gateshead (2006) and 101 EASEDALE GARDENS Gateshead. (2007-8). Both her and her mum (Marjorie Langers) however lived mostly in the Chester-Le-Street area - and there is a suggestion that she may have moved back to that area something like six or so months ago.

Unfortunately about 4 months ago my dad died, so I would really like to contact her and give her the news if I can.

Frustratingly the records on 192.com (and other family research sites) appear to be quite out of date - as there is no further mention of her after this date. (I think most electoral role sites only update every January or so). So frustratingly it seems I came very close, but that I still just missed her.

Has anyone here ever heard of, or met anyone by the name of Langers, either in the Chester-Le-Street - or in the wider area of Co-Durham?

As I said, I know it's a long-shot - but it seems this may be my last option.

I know crossposting may be against the rules - but I would like to ask if the moderators might allow an exception in this case and post this message in the General forum too - as maybe more people will see it then?

Thanks!
