Advertise here on an active Internet Discussion Forum If you are involved in a small business or enterprise, half of the problem is getting yourself known. If you have a website, without traffic it is useless. You can have the greatest site in the world, but if no-one visits, you're no further forward. The internet is a great medium for 'spreading the word' but you need to target your advertising to be successful. That applies whether you are a large multinational or a small corner shop. Here at the North East Forum, we discuss a wide variety of subjects, and these boards are ideal places for making your activities known. We're not adverse to the notion of allowing our boards to be used for a little advertising if it's done in a controlled manner. You help us and we'll help you. So we've come up with a system to allow ads to be placed on the boards to make that happen. It's not expensive, and as this site gets an average of 200,000+ page views per month in total, it's a good way to get your name/product seen. It's far better than trying to sneak a cheeky ad into a single post somewhere on here and hoping no-one notices, then having it deleted.
Position of adsYour text advert will appear after the 1st and 8th posts on all threads of the North East Forum, rotated randomly on all pages loaded. You'll see ads under this post. It will also appear on the top of the Message index in each forum section, and on the home page. This allows ads to be seen on all threads, and no flashing banner ads will appear, annoying the users. Your text ad will then be displayed within every thread on the boards, on a rotational basis (3 ads displayed at a time) with other ads. This is a much more visible way of advertising than in a signature, or in a post (which will be deleted). Your ads will be seen in the flow of the threads, as people read them.
All that is required is that you sign up for an account. Then you need 3 bits of info
a) a title for your advert
b) the body text of the advert
c) a website address to link to (this can be a website or an email address if you want the link to open a mail program to send you a message/enquiry).
See the ad block below for examples. You can advertise a service/company/affiliate site or even use it for private classified type ads. The choice is yours, but the ad must be text only.
Price will be £10 per month for a rolling 1 month subscription. Discounts will be given for extended period advertising. (5% discount for 3 months, 7.5% discount for 6 months and 10% discount for 12 months)

To set up an advertising account, click the graphic above, click here, or go to the 'Post Your Own Ad Here" link below the ads and create an account. Compose your text ad, then choose how long it is to run for. Pay for it at Paypal and it will be activated and your ad will appear, then you'll be able to monitor your ads (impressions and clicks) in your control panel to see how they're doing (impressions and clicks). You'll also be able to change the text of any running ad as you see fit, whilst it is running.
Note: Explicit or offensive advert text will not be allowed, and if you place an ad with such text it will be withdrawn and no refund will be given. If in doubt, please ask first.
* Your ad may share the ad slots with other advertisers. In this case the ads will be randomly rotated in the available space.
