Next Steps with Equity loans

If after reading this guide you feel equity release might be right for you and you wish to contact the Help the Aged Equity Release Service provided by NHFA, this is what you should do:

1. Please complete the Advice Request Form and return it to us.

2. A NHFA Adviser will contact you to discuss your circumstances and review your eligibility to schemes whilst considering all the alternatives.

Assuming equity release is right for you, your NHFA Adviser will discuss with you, and with your family if you wish, the options available, and will provide a written report. It is important to realise that you are under no obligation to accept any NHFA Adviser recommendations to proceed with a scheme.

4. If you wish to proceed, a completed application form is sent to the lender and solicitors.You should seek independent legal advice.

5. Your property is valued.Your application is processed.

6. A cash lump sum/income is paid to you through your solicitor.
